Caxton Furniture, Highbridge, Somerset, 420T
One of Britian's largest furniture-making companies gave us this direct contract to build their new 12,000 square meter factory.
The factory consisted of multi-bays of 35 meter span portal frames.

Tycom, Filey, Barnstable and Highbridge, 950 T
Bullivant
Three buildings were placed to house electronic processing equipment to provide capacity on the
worldwide web. Barnstable received a subsea Atlantic cable from the USA to provide capacity for
electronic traffic between the Americas and Europe / Asia. The buildings were combinations of beams
and columns, mezzanine and portals with 950T of steelwork in all.

This enormous factory had the main frame built by Severfield-Rowan.
We did the supply and installation of the secondary steelwork, comprising pipebridges and roller shutter door steelwork, value £600,000.

Haley Engineering provided the structural steel for this extension to the existing British
Ceramic Tiles factory in Newton Abbot. Consisting of two towers over 24m in height and a
number of portal frame structures, over 850 tonnes of structural steel were detailed,
fabricated and erected.

Hartwell House
Feltham
Occupying a prime location at the heart of Bristol’s commercial centre, Hartwell House is a
four storey office block with over 5,000 square metres of floor area. A 750 tonne beam and
column structure defined by a pair of free standing columns which support office space
above, culminating in a terrace on the top floor. Haley’s had to accommodate an 8 week delay
to the site programme due to archaeological discoveries dating back to the 13th century.

Composting Facility, Blaise Farm, Maidstone
Dean & Dyball
Consisting of two triple span portal frames and a smaller single span portal frame, the new
composting facility built for New Earth Solutions will service 50,000 tonnes of green and food
waste each year. Phase one of the facility was completed early 2008 with phase 2 expected
to commence later in the year.

Brook Office Park

Haley Engineering provided the structural steel for four open plan office buildings as part of
the Brook Office park development at Emerson Green in Bristol. Consisting of two two-storey
buildings and two three-storey buildings, over 180 tonnes of structural steel was erected.

BTC, Bessemer Drive, Stevenage
Rok
A new two-storey office block just outside Stevenage which would be home to a new business
and technology centre built for Stevenage Borough Council. A simple 190 tonne beam and
column structure situated on a tight site adjacent to the existing centre.
