including its sports hall and science block, gymnasium and internet café. A link bridge and a cycle ramp were added later to bring the total steelwork to 500T.
William Haley Engineering worked from 3 – 11pm to avoid noise during the examination times.

Bradley Stoke School, Bristol, 390T Kier Western
The building for our contractor partner Kier Western included class rooms, gymnasium and offices. The programme
overlapped design and construction, so the primary steel was erected in phases linked to the design process. Our erection team (direct employees) went through the steelwork again to
fix the secondary steelwork. Kier Western appreciated the site knowledge acquired by our team and their continuity on the job, and said this contributed significantly to the success of
the project.

Royal Cornwall Hospital, Truro, 470T Mowlem
William Haley Engineering completed the steel
framework for the new Peninsula Medical School and Knowledge Spa of the Royal Cornwall Hospital. The six level steel
frame incorporated 220T of “slimform” beams (beams with coverplates to support concrete planks.) The site was limited
to one bus/ emergency access road so Haley Engineering had to carefully plan all deliveries and have a back-up plan.
We also built an associated project for ROK, the Peninsula Radiology Academy at Plymouth.
