Gary Hayman Erection Team Leader
“The safety of my team is my priority. Safety starts with cooperation from the contractor in handing over a site safe to work on. Our job is to get the job done following procedures and methods, and wearing personal protection equipment.”
Gary has 16 years experience as a steelwork erector with William Haley Engineering, joining as a trainee and developing into a team leader.
SAFETY
Safe working has been a target at William Haley Engineering since its foundation. Each year a report on progress and accident levels are given in the annual accounts. All our site employees have CSCS cards, and 3 are first aiders.
TRAINING
From its business plan William Haley Engineering identifies the training needs of all its employees. We hold Investor in People accreditation since 1999. QUALITY
We inspect all steelwork 100% at our works before despatch. We do the snagging at our works in our time and not on the customer’s site in its time. We are ISO 9001 registered since 1990. Our welding procedures are Lloyd’s approved. We are a BSCA member. Continuous improvement and quality are at the heart of our business. We express this culture in phrases such as:
“Leave nothing to chance” “Measure twice cut once” “A place for everything and everything in its place” “Measure to improve”
Our quality policy is unique and expresses our business philosophy. We think it is worthwhile for you to read it.
